Challenge Day 2010
Welsh beauties challenged to use brain over brawn

The Miss Wales and Mister Wales finalists proved that there is more to them than just their looks when they attended The Joshua Foundation challenge day at St Donats Arts Centre in the Vale of Glamorgan on Sunday 6 June.

The stunning finalists were put through their paces as they spent the day completing a series of mental and physical team building challenges including as well as abseiling down the cliffs.

Alison Stallard from The Joshua Foundation said “The day was a great opportunity for the girls and boys to learn some new skills, have some fun, meet the other finalists and most importantly raise money for The Joshua Foundation”.

Family and friends sponsored the finalists to take part in the challenge day and all monies collected from sponsorship will go towards the total amount raised for The Joshua Foundation by all of this year’s Miss and Mister Wale’s finalists.

Sarah Cornelius, Chief Executive of The Joshua Foundation said, “The girls and boys have both been working hard to fundraise for the charity and we are extremely grateful for all their efforts.  The money raised by these fantastic young people will make such a difference to the lives of children battling cancer and their families, so every penny counts.”

The final for Miss and Mister Wales will be taking place at St David’s Hall on Saturday 26 June. Tickets are priced at £20 per person and can be purchased from St David’s Hall.
